As Data Analyst - Responsible Investment you will become part of the Responsible Investments (RI) department of PGGM.
· You will analyze a broad range of financial and sustainability data across various asset classes to examine the impact of sustainability policies and regulation on investment portfolios and benchmark portfolios.
· You will support research on a wide range of topics in sustainable finance and curate key datasets to advance the internal expertise on sustainable investing and to support decision-making.
· You will support the development of process automation tools and process design of data-intensive processes for regulatory sustainability reporting requirements and for the implementation of ambitious sustainability policies.

The Responsible Investment (RI) department consists of 14 specialist advisors with various backgrounds and of different nationalities. The RI team advises on and supports the implementation of PGGM clients’ investment policies. Team members engage with portfolio companies, work with portfolio managers to integrate ESG factors, and are closely involved with the development of new IT tools and data sets. In the fast-evolving field of ESG we collaborate with other institutional investors, for example on standard-setting and impact metrics.
Jouw achtergrond
· University degree in Econometrics, Business Analytics, Data Science, (Quantitative) Economics, Finance, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred.
· 0-2 years of work experience in a function with exposure to data analytics, data management, or research in financial services or consulting (including internships).
· A solid understanding of investment management and strong interest in climate change and other sustainability topics.
· Strong analytical skills and strong problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize insight from analyzing traditional financial data and alternative data.
· Good working knowledge of quantitative methods and statistics/econometrics.
· Skilled in Power BI, FactSet and/or Bloomberg. Experience with Python and SQL, VBA and the MS Azure cloud ecosystem a plus.
· Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional project teams including data analysts, business analysts, IT and data architects, financial risk and compliance managers, investment managers, and ESG specialists.
· The ability to communicate effectively in English with stakeholders at all levels of the organizations, both in writing and verbally is a must. Dutch is not necessary but would be a plus.
