The team’s objective is to generate a superior return by outperforming the benchmark. In the position of junior investment analyst you have the opportunity to actively make your contribution. Your research and analysis will form the foundation of the team’s investment decision making and portfolio positioning. In this role you will be part of one of the largest active listed real estate funds globally and specifically focus on the North American region. For each company in your research coverage you have the responsibility to build and to continuously fine-tune the financial (valuation) model to ensure you have accurately translated all available market information and qualitative insights into the company’s valuation. You will actively seek for new relevant information through scanning corporate filings, sell-side research, meeting management teams, and/or participating in market and property tours to gain new perspectives. You leverage LRE’s extensive network in the industry and work closely with other analysts to identify and evaluate investment opportunities. As part of the standard investment routine you will present your analysis and outcomes to the LRE team. Knowledge sharing and creating buy-in for your investment ideas are key priorities. The outcomes of your analysis will lay-out the foundation for positioning in the team’s portfolio construction framework. In addition, you actively contribute to the team’s Responsible Investment and LRE Labs strategies, seek interaction with colleagues from other departments, and develop your network in the real estate industry.

PGGM is a Dutch pension fund service provider responsible for managing the pensions for different pension funds, their affiliated employers and employees. The Listed Real Estate (LRE) department manages a global portfolio of listed real estate investments. The LRE team consists of 13 professionals and is part of PGGM’s Private Markets platform. PGGM is one of the largest global investors in this sector and the portfolio is actively managed internally with the objective to outperform the benchmark. The team’s investment style focuses on market positioning and stock selection. Fundamentally driven investment models to analyse real estate markets and listed companies are at the core of the team’s investment process. The LRE team is proud to be recognized as an industry leader in the field of ESG and sustainable investments, as we proactively engage with the listed real estate companies and industry and strive for continuous improvement on a range of topics we deem material. Furthermore, the LRE team has the ambition to drive innovation through the application of data analytics in its investment process, so called “LRE Labs”.
Jouw achtergrond
- Starter or 1-2 years relevant experience and a master/ academic degree in a finance, quantitative or real estate field;
- Innovative and creative self-starter, with strong analytical/research capabilities;
- Experience with operating valuation and corporate finance models (equity);
- Highly motivated individual, a team player with hands-on mentality;
- Structured and accurate way of working;
- Ability to efficiently plan your time and prioritize projects in a dynamic environment;
- Strong communication, presentation and writing skills in English.
